The Harpy Eagle
As the Senior Creative on the team, I led the development of the creative for Ricoh’s campaign launching of the Ricoh Pro™ VC70000 at Hunkeler Innovation Days 2019.
This groundbreaking continuous sheet-fed printer, with its unique drying technology, was transforming the transition from offset to digital print. Ricoh needed a creative concept that highlighted the printer’s exceptional speed, accuracy, vibrancy, and consistency, with a special focus on its innovative drying system.
Building on the success of the previous Art of the New campaign, featuring the Jaguar and jungle themes, Ricoh selected the Harpy Eagle as the centerpiece for this launch. Its precision, power, and agility perfectly mirrored the printer’s capabilities.

As with the jaguar, I hand-illustrated a harpy eagle, situated alongside the innovative dryer technology. I then digitally painted it to create an incredibly vibrant harpy eagle to pair well alongside my previous jaguar.
The result was an incredibly vibrant design that brought the eagle to life across multiple applications, including the printer itself at HID 2019, a direct mailer, and a variety of printed and digital materials translated into several languages.
