Ricoh Europe – Art of the New

Featuring the Jaguar

As the illustrator, designer, artworker, and client account manager for Ricoh Europe’s Art of the New showcase, I played a key role in bringing their vision to life for the launch of two new digital sheet-fed printers. Ricoh sought something fresh and engaging for their promotional creative—something that shifted the focus away from the printers themselves (essentially large grey boxes) to what they could achieve.

For the campaign The Power of Colour, I developed, sketched, and illustrated a vibrant, eye-catching illustration of the jaguar, the most powerful animal in the Amazon. This bold design became the cornerstone of the campaign, featured across promotional materials and exhibition creatives. Paired with compelling copy, it helped amplify the campaign’s message.

Working closely with Ricoh, I also managed the adaptation of the campaign into over 20 languages, ensuring consistency and quality across their Operating Countries in Europe. The success of this campaign sparked widespread adoption across regions, making it one of Ricoh Europe’s most successful initiatives.

Today, the jaguar remains a powerful symbol for Ricoh, still widely used in promotional materials. A personal highlight was seeing the design applied as a stunning 7-meter-wide wall graphic at Ricoh Europe’s head office in London.
